Where could I camp on an island on a lake or reservoir in New England?
I’m looking to camp out on an island in the middle of a lake or other inland body of water for the night with a camp fire– where would you suggest going in Massachusetts or Rhode Island?

Well I live in Rhode Island and there are TONS of places to camp. If you’re looking for an Island i suggest either somewhere in Newport or Jamestown. You can look online for the hundreds of spots in between those. If you’re looking for a lake/reservoir type area you try Watchog Pond in Charlestown or Arcadia in that area too, they are both huge campground sites if you want other people around. There are also tons of places in Narragansett along Bonnet Shores and Narragansett Bay. Hope you find some place great to camp! good luck!
