Next week I’m going camping. Got the tent, sleeping bags, lanterns, and the S’mores fixings……

This happened to me once while up hunting and I never heard the coyote , but saw the shadow fly over me against the tent…when I grabbed the flash light and shotgun setting next to me and shined it in it’s direction ..he just stood and looked at me from 30 feet away and then just vanished into the darkness like a ghost !

see we dont have ebough money to go camping in the woods or anything so we want to do it in our back yard i bought a tent yesterday and were gonna camp in my backyard and we bought marshmallows to so we want to set up a camp fire but i need to know is it against the law to do that i live in the Adelanto area and its in California so is itagainst the law to set it up in your backyard???

ok im looking for a pretty heavy duty tent, one where if i go camping in the winter i will be warm inside the tent and if there is a tent where i could hook some kind of non electronic heater in it(no space heaters) if you guys could list some with the price that be great thanks

I have two tickets to the 500 and me and my ex brother inlaw are heading to daytona tomorrow. I have a heater in my truck but some creep stole the bed and doors last week (see my sad story on my 360 page) and I cut out a couple of plywood doors to keep the cops from pulling me over so it still gets pretty cold at 70 mph. We tied a piece of 3/4 plywood to the frame so we can tie off some coolers, tent, and stuff to camp out with. I thought about hooking up a converter and pluging in a electric blanket to cover us while we drive. I know this sounds dumb but I havent had time to find some used doors yet and as long as the cops dont hassle me the wood ones work OK. We even thought about bringing about ten sheets of plywood and some studs and just building us a dang wood cabin at the campsite. I worry about freezing to death. We plan on drinking a LOT so maybe that will keep us warm. Any suggestions?
We had a great idea! Rusty has a metal and wood 7×9 storage building at his house and we are going over there right now and empty it out, block it up and bolt it to my truck. This will be a great place to camp out and we will be able to load all our stuff plus a grill and tv and stay warm. We can even take turns sleeping in it on the way down to Daytona. Wish us luck!

I will be camping in two weeks. It’s not cold during the day but at night when we are trying to sleep it gets freezing. I’m bring my dog this time and he is a bit of a cold wimp. I want to buy a heater to put inside the tent. What kind of heater would be the safest way to go. Oh and my tent is huge so The heater wont be up againt anything
Where would I find that heater????

I live in Canada and every time I go camping it is always super cold and super damp. I purchased a Coleman Propane Catalytic Heater for the last time I went camping and it worked like a charm. However, it totally freaks me out having to use propane. Also, propane is very large and cumbersome to travel with if you are hiking or on the move.

Does anyone know what other type of heat source I could get or use to make my tent dry and warm that ISN’T propane? I think with all the innovations that we have today their has to be some sort of memory-cell or solar panel/cell like device that can generate heat and warmth in a environmentally friendly and safe way.
