Camping Heater

I know I can buy these commercially, but would like to make some myself to give to camping friends. Most campgrounds have a fire ring where the camper can build a fire to roast weiners and marshmallows. These commercial pine cones add colors to the flames, like green and blue. How do I make them myself?

My friend and i are bored and we want to light a fire but we don’t really know whats good cooked over a fire, besides marshmallows, hotdogs, sour patch kids, and starburst.

I have just purchased a copper fire pit on a wrought iron stand. I am wanting to not only use it for a camp fire but to roast hot dogs and marshmallows on. I know the fire logs that can purchased are convenient but can’t be cooked with because of how they are treated. I am a single mom new to this fire starting thing. Can someone please tell me how to get a good fire started in a fire pit and keep the flame going?

We want to build a simple campfire / fire pit out of cinder blocks for our back yard. We of course will get the proper fire permits once it’s built. I am having a hard time finding directions online for what we’re looking for. Most of the camp fires we’ve seen online are round and there for surrounded on all sides or they are big elaborate things.

We want something we can roast marshmallows and hot dogs and such. We found a random picture of sort of what i’m looking for. This one looks like Cement. We would just like to use cinder blocks.

My Questions are: What would be the best way to build something of this shape? What is the best size to build it? (This one is smaller than the one we’d like to build)_and how many cinder blocks should we use for that size?

I am looking for Campfire brand marshmallows in the Dallas area. Does anyone know which stores, if any, carry these?

According to USA Today this is a gooey concoction of melted chocolate, marshmallows and popcorn made by campers. I need more details – quantities, etc. Do you toast the marshmallows over the campfire? What kind of chocolate – Hershey bars, chocolate chips, etc.? Is it done in a pan over the campfire? Thanks.

see we dont have ebough money to go camping in the woods or anything so we want to do it in our back yard i bought a tent yesterday and were gonna camp in my backyard and we bought marshmallows to so we want to set up a camp fire but i need to know is it against the law to do that i live in the Adelanto area and its in California so is itagainst the law to set it up in your backyard???
