So im buying some camping items and want to length out my stays. i need to by cooking items. But i don’t want to bring a stove so i would just build a fire of course. But looking an campmor.com and those types of sights i don’t know of those items can be cooked over an open flame such as a camp fire. i was looking at GSI items but ill take anything that’s light. Please don’t say a cast iron pot or what not. looking for something small that can be cooked over a camp fire. What materials should i be looking at that can handle it and be safe for my health. no toxins

what is the stand called that goes over the camp fire for you to put ur pots and pans on? and whats the thing called that goes a couple feet in the air over the fire to hang kettles on??

This is my husband’s favorite cake. Supposedly his mother got it from an old sheepherder, who cooked it over his camp fire. I know that it has no milk or eggs. It has butter, sugar, water, cinnamon, ground cloves, nutmeg and raisins. You boil all the ingredients on the stove before adding flour. That’s all I know about it. I wanted to make if for his birthday.

Can I just hold a match to a log, say about 2 ft. in diameter and get it hot enough to flame into a camp fire?

(who’s hands have constrained by environmentalist wicks) had been allowed to clear away the disease infested, dead timber and thin out the forest so that trees could grow larger and thicker in diameter, it would be harder (not impossible) for a forest fire to start and spread and get out of control? I was at a meeting last year and some people were talking about starting a camp fire with two chemicals. One was a liquid in a cup, and the other was a powder suspended above the liquid and then dropped in which then created a reaction starting a fire. I’d like to do the same "trick", can you help?

I have a point and shoot Canon Powershot sd1100 and tonight my kids and I are going to make a camp fire in the yard. I wanted to take a bunch of pictures but im not sure what setting to set it to or the whole apiture/lighting settings. Can anyone help me?

I have just purchased a copper fire pit on a wrought iron stand. I am wanting to not only use it for a camp fire but to roast hot dogs and marshmallows on. I know the fire logs that can purchased are convenient but can’t be cooked with because of how they are treated. I am a single mom new to this fire starting thing. Can someone please tell me how to get a good fire started in a fire pit and keep the flame going?

even though some goes into your lungs its still just lungs

but when your sitting next to a camp fire or grilling on a charcoal grill your taking in smoke like a whale sucking in plankton
plus if you do it right, the vast majprity of the smoke just gets in your mouth
im mean its still just smoke, not lungs
but what chemicles are in a cigar that arnt in a camp fire
