How much foil do you wrap around burgers if you cook them directly on campfire coals?

I’m putting them directly on the campfire & need to know how thick foil is so they don’t get burned. And how hot to keep the fire going so it cooks properly.

Pagans, What is camp fire friday??

Posted by Filed Under Camping Heater with 5 Comments

What is camp fire friday? I’ve seen the term used in religion & spirituality but I’m not sure what it means??
Is it only used on this forum, or is it a more general pagan term used in the real world too??

Camp fire Friday: For the recons, how do you respond to the "dead religion" statement?

Posted by Filed Under Camping Heater with 9 Comments

I’ve seen more than once on R&S the statement that the original pagan religions are all dead, hinting that they are/were invalid or were simply made up.

How do you deal with those implicit denouncements of your faith?
Great answers everyone!

Does anyone else get chest pain after being around a campfire?

Posted by Filed Under Camping Heater with 2 Comments

I think it is pleurisy. I was around a campfire yesterday & breathed some smoke. Now I have pain when I inhale, it is on the upper right side. I used to smoke cigarettes a few years ago & I remember this feeling. I also had this pain last year, during camping season – after being around a campfire. Does this happen to anyone else?

What are good things to do around campfire?

Posted by Filed Under Camping Heater with 1 Comment

So it’s a anually thing for my family to go camping. We are a big family & always sit around the campfire and night singing & telling old family stories. Does anyone have any good ideas of what we could do or play instead of telephone & these boring stories we have heard 20 times.

Ideas would be great (:

Portable Generator Purchase Decision?

Posted by Filed Under Camping Heater with No Comments

I’m looking to purchase a portable generator about 5,000 watts. Can
someone give me a good , reliable , and very common brand that would be easy to get parts for ( if needed ) not just engine parts but
the generator as well. I don’t really know briggs & stratton"s reputation
these days but I know I still see the older motors going even today.
I’d like to spend under $ 500.00 but really under 0.00 ideally..
Any suggestions would be appreciated. There are just so many out
there. Eastern Tool, Northern, Briggs, Troy Built etc…etc… I would be using this for my cottage apartment as well as "out on the road" for
use with an automotive battery charger, Electric impact gun, and any
type of camping needs. The higest consumer I can think of would be
a portable electric heater at 1500w… I really don’t need industrial.
Thanks A model number would be great….heck, even a place to buy.
Great advice. I figured in an emergency
situation I might need (two) 1500 watt electric heaters for my apartment plus
a light and maybe a small appliance.
In fact, I could probably get away with
a 2000 or 2500 watt generator if I use
only one heater and a light . I don’t want
a lot of noise so it looks like I should really consider the Honda engine..
I’ll keep doing my homework for a few
more days… Thanks all…

I inherited a 2006 Coachman Spirit of America pull behind camper. I do not know where directions are.?

How do I get ready to use it? Do you only light pilot light when you get to campsite? I see elect & water hookups—what about the sewer drain?
Where is hot water heater? Does water fill some tank inside and do I empty it before I drive home?
I need to know alot, but I am interested in trying to go camping…..always used hotels or condos.
