Nice heater. One thing though, if there is a power outage, there will not be running water available via hose, as the one you got hooked up right there in the video. No power means , no pumps. Unless you have rigged up a generator for that.

how long does a standard 20lb BBQ propane tank last with this unit?
how much do these go for ?? could a small water tank be rigged up at a higher level above it? would that provide enough pressure? so it could be used in more remote places? Thanks
1.5 gpm will not run a TUB, a shower maybe but not a tub. you need about 9.4 GPM for tubs! I tried a 3GPM – 4GPM and the flow rate is too slow to fill a tub. it will fit the tub in about 30minutes if you want to wait half an hour to fill your tub LOL
MrSkaramanga – you should research these a little before commenting. The pump works on 2 D batteries – NOT A/C electric. He even says it at 1:40 in the video. They are very good and in the majority of hotels I go to overseas. They are more cost efficient and use less water as you don’t waste water waiting for hot to come through.
You can find them from $80 to $400 depending on if you want A/C or propane. There is a Santon model that outputs 90gpm for $239. There are all different kinds of models. All it takes is a simple search.

I think he means that if there is no power, there will be no pumps to pump the water through the lines so it can reach the water heater. I have one of these units incidentally. Works well, is efficient, only negative is that it’s designed for outdoor use so it is very hot on top and unsafe to install indoors unless you rig up your own vent system.
i have just installed one, it works pretty good, but it is delicate, so be cafe when tightening the lines. i snaped the gas input pipe and had to order a new one. it heats pretty good you just need to play around with the controls. it doesnt heat instantly though it takes about 3 to 5 minutes to heat fully. its start really quickly and the battery is for the electronic igniter. id recommend if you cant afford a better brand,
