How much foil do you wrap around burgers if you cook them directly on campfire coals?
I’m putting them directly on the campfire & need to know how thick foil is so they don’t get burned. And how hot to keep the fire going so it cooks properly.

its really up to you..i camp alot and when i do this i put just enough foil so its about an inch away from the coals but dont pack the foil tightly around your burger..also if you are puting it on the coals you wont be able to take a temp reading just remember the coals are the hottest part of the fire and it wont take long to cook..about 3-4 mins each side should be good.
